Labor Day 2010

Sydney and I went to the river for Labor Day. We only got to play for a couple hours. Sydney had a good ole time though. Grandpa kept giving her rocks so she could throw them in the river. They would splash big and sometimes get her wet, she thought that was really funny. She got to play with Ashley and Braden. Good times.

Shopping

Evidentally this day Sydney was helping daddy shop for his "pop". LOL

Evergreen State Fair

We went to the Evergreen State Fair with G & G Hamlin, Uncle Joel & Sarah for Grandpa's birthday. We had a ton of fun, Syd was once again to short to ride any rides so the animals were her entertainment. We all got big buttons with our pictures it was fun. Uncle Joel won Sarah a HUGE monkey. Syd rode the pony again, this time however she screamed, don't know if she liked the guy who buckled her on the horse so much. Took a while but she settled down and rode the pony.

Banks Lake

We took our first family vacation! Didn't leave the state, but went to Banks Lake and it was fun! Syd loved it..........the sand especially. We went with some friends and had a really good time. Nice and relaxing which Justin and I don't get very often (especially Justin) so it was very much needed.

Styling Syd

Syd has her own pair of sunglasses. She loves to take ours and put them on and off. So I got some for her and of course she won't keep them on. This particular day she decided to keep them on for about 2 minutes. She looks so cute. I snapped a pic as fast as I could!

Crazy Hair

Syd woke up from a nap one day and looked like she had stuck her finger in a light socket, it was hillarious. I had to capture the moment. :0)

Stanwood Fair

So we took Sydney to her first fair this year. She couldn't ride any rides because she was like 6 inches took short, maybe next year. So we checked out the animals and she got to ride a pony. She loved the pony! She was laughing and scooting up and down to try and make it go faster, it was really cute.

New dock

The Hamlin's actually have a real dock! After being at our house for 6 years we finally bit the bullet and built a new dock. Now we can actually park our boat and get in it through the side instead of jumping over the bow. Thanks to everyone who helped on it, turned out amazing!

Swim class

So we decided to try out a swim lesson/class for Sydney to get her used to the water. It was twice a week for 5 weeks. She LOVED it! This girl is a fish I'm telling you. She doesn't cry or scream even when mommy dunks her under the water. Grandma Hamlin and Grandma Lee came to watch a couple times and cheer her on. She would try and show off a little when they were there, it was really cute.

4th of July

Sydney got to experience her first 4th of July. Last year she was still in my belly. She had fun going on the boat and being in the boat parade. She even got to hold her own sparkler, with a little help of course. :0)

Fun in the sun!

So now that the sun has been shining Sydney has been out playing in the lake, she LOVES the water! We can't get her out of it, she throws a fit when its time to go inside.

Wheelbarrow Ride

Grandpa Hamlin was helping daddy with some yard work and Syd decided she wanted to go for a ride. She sat in the wheelbarrow and enjoyed the lift.

More outside fun...

Sydney also got to crawl around in the grass, she walked too (yep she is walking!) but sometimes the uneven ground made her fall so crawling seemed easier at times. We took her down by the water and she wanted to dive right in. I think we have a water baby on our hands, she didn't even care it was cold. She ended up falling down and getting all wet, but ohwell we changed her clothes and got her all cleaned up. Can't wait for the warm weather to come and stay so we can take her out on the boat.

Catching some rays, eating some dirt....

We took Syd outside this weekend because we finally had some sun! We made sure to put on her sunscreen and topped her off with a hat. (which didn't stay on the whole time) She played with Emma for a little bit, then decided to help us weed the garden, or should I say eat the dirt. She is sure fast. Well at least we know she doesn't mind getting dirty. haha

Uncle Jason's house

Uncle Jason got a new house so we all went over for his first BBQ. Syd had fun, she got to play with the puppy and catch a free ride from Uncle Jason.

Mothers Day

So we got to celebrate our first Mothers Day. Justin took us out to breakfast at a little cafe, it was really fun. We stopped by Grandpa & Grandma Lee's house for a little visit and then went to Great Grandma Hamlin's. The weather was beautiful couldn't ask for a better day. I love being a mom, best job in the world!!

Comfy seat

Sydney and Emma were in the bathroom with me while I got ready one morning. I looked in the mirror and noticed Sydney looked taller. When I turned around she had climbed up on Emma and was just sitting on her like it was a chair. It was SO CUTE!

Sneaky Sneaky

So Syd comes to work with me and has a play area she sits in sometimes. I just got done changing her diaper and went back to working when I was done. I noticed she got really quiet so I turned around and realized I had left the wipe container in her play area. Big mistake that was, she had taken out every single wipe from the container and was just loving every minute of it! Learned my lesson.

Emma and Syd

Emma likes to give Sydney kisses......Sydney likes to receive kisses. She tends to open her mouth when she gets them. Yum!
